appropriate

- Layout tables and divs are used rather than frames
- Cross-platform sans-serif fonts such as Arial or Verdana are used

- When using Flash a script is used to detect the presence of the Flash
plugin and give the
user the alternative to either download Flash or go directly to HTML
pages
- Alternative text based navigation and a full site map
- Open Architecture to streamline future development of the site
- Site will be developed in HTML using Dreamweaver and handcoding.
Pages will be named with
html extensions
- Coding will meet XHTML 1 script standard
- Pages to be well-formed (html, head, title, and body tags)
- All attributes, events, and tags to be written in lower case
- All elements to be closed (“</.”)
- The value assigned to an attribute to be enclosed in quotes
- All elements to be properly nested
- Pages to include a DOCTYPE declaration
- Cascading Stylesheets will be used to ensure an consistent look and
feel across the site
- Testing for Bobby A standards will be used according to W3C Checklist
of Checkpoints for
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0
